Bredonborough In the FT Weekend

22.13

Bredonborough.

In the FT Weekend, news of EMI’s ongoing woes. Jeremy Silver’s blog is quoted:

” The company has the opportunity to create a whole new kind of relationship with its artists… Nicoli now needs to head an aggressive acquisition program of signing new talent under completely new terms. He should also go out and acquire a share in or outright ownership of a major live promoter’s business in order to capture all of the scope for income creation from artists’ entire range of activities”.

I anticipate a rush of new artists keen to forge a whole new kind of relationship with EMI.

A day continuing to organise World HQ, e-flurrying, and continuing acts of heroism attempting to get BT to fix its collapsed broadband service. Today, a very polite & helpful young woman in India, was herself put on hold while calling back to BT in the UK. This took us both a lot of time before eventually she also ran into a BT system fault & had to ring off. She promised to pursue the search for a BT engineer & call me back. I have received no call back.

But I have had a good evening practising.
